I recently had a quick conversation with a young actor who was having problems remembering his lines. I asked where they were and he replied "they're all there, but all jumbled up".

I asked him "what happens when you put them in the right order?" and he replied "I lose them - somehow I just lose track of them ...".

To that, I suggested "well, what about using string so you can always find the right one?". Silence. Followed by "that works ..."

He remembers his lines now. This got me thinking: has anyone else got a five minute fix?
